The Three Pillars of Ink Removal

Most lasers struggle with certain colors because different ink pigments respond to different light frequencies. Our technology utilizes three versatile wavelengths to leave no pigment behind:

• The Foundation (1064 nm): This wavelength is the workhorse for dark inks (black, grey, and dark blue). It is also the safest wavelength for darker skin tones, as it bypasses the melanin in the skin to target the ink directly without causing pigmentation changes.
• The Warm Color Specialist (532 nm): This wavelength targets the "warm" end of the spectrum. It is highly effective at shattering red, orange, and yellow inks that traditional lasers often leave behind.
• The Ruby Wavelength (694 nm): This is the "secret weapon" of the Discovery Pico Plus. It specifically targets stubborn and bright tones like greens, teals, and turquoise inks, historically the hardest colors to remove, ensuring a truly clean slate.

From Pulse to Clearance

Step 1: The Photo-Acoustic Breakdown
Unlike older lasers that rely on heat (which can damage surrounding tissue), our picosecond technology uses ultra-short pulses to create a photo-acoustic effect. This creates a shockwave that shatters ink into microscopic particles.

Step 2: Biological Elimination
Once the ink is shattered, your body’s immune system takes over. Your white blood cells recognize the tiny ink fragments as foreign debris.

Step 3: The Lymphatic Flush
Over the next 6 to 8 weeks, your lymphatic system naturally transports the ink particles out of your body. Because our laser shatters ink into much smaller fragments than older technology, your body can flush them away much faster.
